Ms. Gilmer and U of A student

Ramay's Student Support Specialist, Ms. Rebecca Gilmer, hosted an administrators panel at Ramay to benefit pre-service teachers from the University of Arkansas B.A.T. program. Panelists included principals and leaders from the school who shared their insights and advice with future teachers who plan to teach in Northwest Arkansas after graduation. "It's all about relationships," Dr. Christopher Johnson reminded those in attendance. The program emphasized equity, community, and excellence in inclusive practices. Young teachers-to-be learned valuable information about interviewing, classroom management, and family involvement. This panel was innovated by Ms. Gilmer as a part of Ramay's ongoing partnership with the University of Arkansas' College of Education and Health Professions to support student observers and teaching interns who plan to enter the teaching profession in the state of Arkansas.
